After four years, the five members of TUA will come together once more to rock your faces at The Delancey on Wednesday, May 21st. Things kick off with a free BBQ at 7pm, followed by bands at 8pm, so get there EARLY to take advantage of the spring fun. TUA guitarist Rob and drummer Bob will each be pulling double duty on said evening, in Blue Sky Law and Encurses, respectively. Should be quite a hoot-in-your-nanny. 02.01.05: Follow the TUA diaspora: Bob: Aqui Brian: Martian Sunset Hal: Amperes Mark: Brinca Means Jump Rob: The Challenger Deep 12.07.04: As you can probably guess, the members of TUA have moved on to new things. We're all continuing with music respectively, so stay tuned for details. 09.26.04: We're back in our rehearsal space, minus a bassist. If you or anyone you know is interested in world domination via rock n' roll, contact us at tearusapart2002@yahoo.com. 09.16.04: With a damp and temporarily vacated studio space and no live performances yet planned, the four remainders of TUA have been collaborating via secret meetings in Brooklyn and Manhattan while swapping new musical ideas through electronic files. Songs are being drafted. Recordings will most likely precede any gigs. 07.25.04: Thanks for helping us kick high-caliber ass on Saturday night. Stay tuned for further info regarding the future of TUA's strangle-hold on rock. 07.12.04: Our next show at Trash may be our last for a while. Rob is leaving and the band will reconfigure before we play any future shows. Ozzy's impish spawn called us, expressing interest in the band for his new record label. This, of course, turned out to be a lame attempt at comedic exploitation. Comedy Central called soonafter to explain that it was a set-up, but that Jack, a "rock enthusiast," had decided to pull out of the prank b/c he didn't want to be "mean to bands." The channel's legal dept. offered us swag in apology for the ruse, but they didn't have any Reno 911! t-shirts. No word yet on whether Hal's voice will be heard via a Crank Yanker puppet on cable TV. 12.16.03: Enter new bassist Andy. Check the shows page for his live debut with TUA. 11.30.03: Our CD/demo/recording is now complete. Stay tuned for streams of two of the songs mentioned below and mp3's of all three. 11.21.03: This weekend will see the final mix-down of our upcoming disc which will feature live favorites "In Parentheses," "Camera Shy" and "Unscene." In between marathon, sensory-depriving studio sessions, we're putting the finishing touches on two brand-new songs which you'll hear very soon. 10.22.03: We just played two full-on, sweaty rock shows and love you all for making them so special with your presence. Behind the scenes, vocals and overdubs are falling into place. 10.10.03: We've been racking our brains in the studio these past few weeks to satisfying success. So far, one out of three songs, "Camera Shy," has emerged victoriously. Mixing commences this week. |
