Dearest Fresyes faithful, we've been busy as all heck lately, so sorry about the layer of dust on that Bright Eyes post. But in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, we'll hit you with a quick refresher before the Guv and I head back into the great valley.

First off, I hear from a good source that tonight is the busiest bar night of the year at Campagnia, so you should definitely not go. Wait til friday. But if you do end up there, keep an eye peeled for 559 (me), I'll be sitting next to the huge bald guy who thinks that his backward Fresno State hat will make his hair grow back. I realize that doesn't narrow it down much...

So you're probably asking yourselves, "I wonder what those media giants on the fresyes.com editorial board are thankful for", well you're in luck. Here's the list.

Top 5 things fresyes.com is thankful for:

1. Fresno Famous - What more can we say about the folks responsible for just under 100% of our factual information about the town (people, I refuse to call it a city) of Fresno.
2. Orange County - Honestly, if it weren't for the OC, which bland and unimportant region of California would the rest of the nation aspire to be a high school student (or build Costco-based strip malls) in? Can anyone think of another bland and unimportant region of California?
3. Whoever's idea this was. I always knew there was something weird about Celine Dion, but I was always convinced that it was her suckiness, but it turns out that she's a wookie. Note to self, never lose to Celine Dion in intergalactic holographic monster chess. (point of order, we'll be tracking the auction value of this as a barometer for just how weird people can be in this country)
4. John Kerry - JK, we told you that we'd deliver California, Ohio was your screwup.
5. Wilco - Saw them on Friday at the Wiltern in LA. Great record, great show.
