Our "Steve Perry as RoboCop" posting has brought the Journey fans out of the woodwork... And their main request? They want to see the video for "Separate Ways," which goes down as the most epic short feature ever captured on film. Is it the air keyboarding? Steve's muscle shirt? The "we're-just-normal-guys-hanging-out-at-the-wharf" sensibility? One might argue that this clip marked the defining moment for MTV, for all future videos would pale in comparison.
Here it is, in all its glory.
And a happy belated birthday to Mr. Perry, who celebrated by giving fans this rare Q&A. Among the tidbits: Randy Jackson from "American Idol" (and former Journey bassist) recently came calling, and Perry has turned Emo, naming the Postal Service as a band he's listening to these days.
